We were shocked and saddened to find we have lost another member of our family. Gord has been a joy to have known and we will always treasure the memories we have with him growing up and it has been a great pleasure when he returned back to Huntsville and we were able to get re-acquainted with him and his partner Elizabeth.

I met Gord in elementary school at Spruce Glen. Around grade 7 or 8 we became fast friends and spent summers with Teddy Gibbs, hanging out and being dragged on a piece of plywood behind a little aluminum boat with (I am guessing) a 9.9 to push us through the water at a breakneck speed of about 5mph or so. . Gord was such an integral part of my family that when I called my Mum and one sister to tell them about Gord, no last name was necessary. His death was so untimely and so very sad. I give my heartfelt condolences to his spouse, his children and Bill and Cathy , and thank him ‘For the Good Times’.

Gord was a faithful and helpful friend. Full of fun and adventure. One lifelong highlight was a 3 week road trip out west with Gord, Dolf & Anzie. We ripped it up across BC and took in the amazing beauty. Many many hours of talks and hanging out. Our friendship formed through the ski patrol and has been for many years. you are dearly missed Gordo
love anzie & dolf

I am very sad to hear of Gords passing. He was a good friend of mine when we were kids, before my family moved to Nunavit. We lived outside of Huntsville on River Cove Drive & Gord would take me out on his dirt bike. He, Debbie Cuttress and i were great friends. As adults when he lived in Calgary we were friends again til he moved away. I will never forget dear Gord’s smile and his willingness to help.
