The death occurred at the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital after a brief illness on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 months short of her 100th birthday celebration of Vera Turner.
Our family is deeply saddened to announce that after a brief illness, Vera “Nan” Turner has passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. For the last 99 years Vera has graced this earth with her strength, love and devotion to family. She is survived by her loving daughter Sandra, son-in-law Roy, grandchildren Richard (Laura), Ian (Sarah), Alyssa (Jeff) and her 5 great-grandchildren Ella, Bridget, Mia, Henry & Isla, and Mike and Pat Turner, their daughters Jane and Sarah and family in England
She will be remembered by all as the gracious matriarch of the family and a friend to all those in England, the US, Canada and Tanzania
